Miami, Florida - Loisaidas has just signed a recording contract with successful independent label Top Stop Music/848 Enterprises.
Loisaidas is an urban Bachata duo hailing from Manhattan’s Lower East Side poised to revolutionize the genre with its unique fusions of Bachata, Jazz, Hip Hop and R&B. Songwriter and vocalist Aquiles Nuñez alongside producer of the duo, Isaiah Parker, transform one of the most popular forms of Latin music today into an outstanding tapestry of urban feelings, rhythms and flavor. Their musical repertoire includes debut track “No Me Dejes” which enjoyed a 20+ week run on Billboard’s Latin Tropical Airplay chart reaching #8; as well as #2 on New York’s #1 top Tropical Latin radio station, LaMega 97.9.
The Miami Herald noted, “Sooner, rather than later, Loisaidas will prove their power.” Now, with Top Stop at the helm, their next musical productions will allow them to do just that.
Top Stop Music was founded 16 months ago, in May of 2009, and has already made a mark on the industry from successfully reviving the career of salsa star Luis Enrique to developing and launching the hottest new Latin artist of 2010, Prince Royce. In the process, the label has garnered multiple award recognitions from Latin Billboard Awards to Latin GRAMMY® nominations.
In fact, of the four productions the label has launched, three have been nominated for Latin GRAMMY®s, including: India for Best Salsa Album for “Unica”, 2010, Prince Royce for Best Contemporary Tropical Album for “Prince Royce”, 2010; and Luis Enrique with 4 nominations for album “Ciclos” and song “Yo No Se Mañana” in 2009. Sergio George, Top Stop’s co-founder and a multi-GRAMMY® and Latin GRAMMY® winner, has been nominated for Producer of the Year for the last two years.
