Miami, Florida - Latin music’s hottest new artist, Prince Royce continues to generate radio and sales success, firmly positioning himself amongst the top spots on Billboard’s Latin music charts. According to the lists published today, Prince Royce’s first single “Stand By Me” is #2 on Tropical Radio for the second consecutive week, while his self-titled album holds the #3 position in Tropical Album sales. The young Dominican-American is #1 in Digital Tropical Single sales and #7 in Digital Latin Music Single Sales across all genres, behind only Shakira and Pitbull (each having three singles topping the chart). He is also in the Top Ten in Digital Album sales.
“Stand By Me”, the first single off his self-titled debut album is a bilingual Bachata version of the world-renown American song. It has received such wide acceptance that besides being played on Spanish-language and bilingual radio stations in the United States, it is also starting to get airplay on English-language stations. Just today, “Stand By Me” became the first Bachata song ever to get played on Power 96, the top Hip Hop/Popular music station in South Florida.
