New York, NY After singing with Ben E King at the Latin GRAMMY® Awards on Thursday, Prince Royce traveled to his hometown to perform before a crowd of more than 5,000 fans during two sold out performances at the Lehman Center. His record label, Top Stop Music, surprised their artist in the middle of Saturday’s concert, awarding him with a Platinum Album Award for sales exceeding 100,000 units in the United States and Puerto Rico, as certified by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America).
“I will never forget this week! So many of my wishes coming true . . . performing with Ben E King at the Latin GRAMMY®s, selling out the first two full concerts of my career, and receiving a Platinum Album for my debut CD. . . and then being able to celebrate it all with my fans made it all the more special,” commented Prince Royce.
Accompanied by seven musicians and ten dancers, Prince Royce offered an impressive 90 minute performance, where his natural talent and charisma as well as the euphoria of his fans, made it crystal clear that this is only the beginning of a long and successful musical career for the 21 year old singer-songwriter. From the very first song, current hit “Corazón Sin Cara” to the finale performance of first single “Stand By Me”, the young fans in the audience remained on their feet, singing, dancing and screaming during each one of his songs.
The concerts were a co-production of Top Stop Talent and ZHAR Entertainment.
