The announcement of the nominations for the Tenth Annual Latin GRAMMY® awards will include among its presenters Nicaraguan singer-songwriter Luis Enrique, who since his return to the musical arena with his new release “Ciclos” has remained unbeatable, holding the top popularity spots in the tropical music charts.
An eight year hiatus from the music industry served to heighten expectations for his new album, elevating the salsa artist once again to the peak of his popularity. His song “Yo no sé mañana” has taken over Latin radio stations by storm, solidifying him as one of the most acclaimed tropical artists of 2009, as shown by his presence at the most prestigious music industry events of the year.
Joining him in announcing the nominees will be other prominent entertainers including Chilean singer Beto Cuevas, singer-songwriter Luz Ríos, comedian Paul Rodríguez and former master of ceremonies for the premiere edition of the Latin GRAMMY awards, Jimmy Smits. Gabriel Abaroa, president of the Latin Recording Academy (LARAS) and key members of the music industry and the cultural community will also be in attendance.
The Latin GRAMMY organizers announced that the nominations will be publicized on the 17th of this month at 7:15 AM, at The Conga Room in Los Angeles, California. The annual awards will be televised live on November 5th by the Univision Network.
