Prince Royce garners 5 Premio lo Nuestro nominations

Miami, Florida - During a year full of surprises and accomplishments for Prince Royce, the young singer-songwriter has just received five Premio Lo Nuestro 2011 nominations.

“I am extremely grateful to all the fans that have stood by me from the beginning. This year has been filled with blessings and you have so much to do with that! I wish I could be in the US to enjoy these nominations even more, but I will be celebrating from here,” expressed Prince Royce from Rome, Italy, where he has a concert today as part of his second European tour.

The following nominations were announced live on Univision Network last night:

Tropical Album of the Year

Male Tropical Artist of the Year

Tropical Song of the Year

New Tropical Artist or Group of the Year

Traditional Tropical Artist of the Year

The 2011 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards will be broadcast live on Univision on February 17.

At 21 years of age, Prince Royce has become the top new solo Latin artist of the year. His self-titled debut album was released in March 2010 and has already been certified Platinum in the US and Puerto Rico; received a Latin GRAMMY nomination (for Best Tropical Contemporary Album) and has remained #1 in tropical album sales for 13 consecutive weeks (to date) according to Billboard and Soundscan. The album’s first two singles also reached #1 on tropical radio as well as the top ten among all Latin songs, according to Billboard.

Prince Royce is signed to the Top Stop Music label, owned by Gregory Elias and renown music producer Sergio George, with Sony Music distribution in the US, Puerto Rico and Mexico. In Spain, “Prince Royce” is available under the Blue Moon Records label; in Italy, France and Switzerland under the Planet Records label; and in Colombia under the Codiscos label.
